Goodenia ovata
Hop Goodenia is an Australian endemic plant that grows in swampy lowlands, drier foothill forests and damp wet forests in Baw Baw Shire. This low shrub (<2m) has buttercup yellow flowers and is often found planted in nature reserves and parks (pp16-17 Indigenous plants of Baw Baw Shire).
Goodenia ovata is a tough little shrub or ground cover and spills over rocks or logs. Bees and butterflies love the flowers. There are many varieties of Goodenia that are available in good native nurseries.
