Snowy Daisy Bush

Olearia lirata

Snowy Daisy Bush is a shrub up to 4m high in wet forest areas or up to 1m in height in drier areas. The flowers form in bunches of daisies which flower from August to December.

The leaves are alternate, up to 15cm long, green on top, whitish underneath and slightly lance shaped.

Butterfly caterpillars love the plant.

It can be seen in bush reserves and also some native gardens.

Tarra Bulga National Park has three species of Snowy Daisy Bush.

In Baw Baw Shire look for it at Uralla, Nangara, Glen Nayook and other bush reserves.
